 We can test your air quality and help you keep your home and your family safe. Our samples are sent to a third-party lab to ensure the results are correct.

Why is an Air Quality Test Important?

Air Quality Testing can detect many airborne particle in a home or business  that if left untreated, could cause serious health issues. The health problems related to poor air quality mostly have these symptoms: Headache, shortness of breath, sneezing, cough, dizziness and nausea. Indoor air pollution may also cause neurological disorder.

Whether for air quality maintenance or for an active effort to improve current standings, an air quality test lets you know what your pollutants are and how to get rid of them. For your family's respiratory safety, air quality tests are a must.

What Are The Signs I Need an Air Quality Test for my Home?

​

  • Smelling unpleasant odors in your home. A bad smell can indicate not only mold, but other air quality issues.

  • Unexplained allergy symptoms are another red flag. Poor air quality, particularly from mold growth or allergens, can irritate your lungs, nose and throat.

  • Unexplained headaches could be caused from carbon monoxide poisoning.

  • When you turn your heater on and it smells strange or gives you a headache, there could be debris in the heating vent burning off and producing fumes. In worse cases, poor ventilation could produce carbon monoxide.

What Equipment Do You Use and What Does It Test For?
​

DuPage Inspection Services uses The Breeze ST. The machine can test a broad range of particles and contaminants in the home. The Breeze ST's can collect any airborne particle like plant debris, soot, mold spores, pollen, insect parts as well as fiberglass, carpet fibers and much more. The Breeze ST cannot be used for asbestos collection and analysis.

How Does an Air Quality Testing Work?
​

DuPage Inspection Services will place the sample collection pucks in areas of the home for a specific amount of time. Samples are then sent to a third-party lab to ensure the results are correct. Once your samples are received at the lab and processed you will be emailed immediately with the results.
